ABOUT THE EVENT


This member benefit is a monthly 1-hour networking call hosted on Zoom Meeting to provide an interactive environment. Members meet regularly on the first Thursday of the month.


Though ISSP staff is in attendance, the conversations are left open to allow for organic discussion. You'll have time to introduce yourself and ask questions about any sustainability challenge on your mind.

Tips & What to Expect


This time is for you! An ISSP team member will be present, but after starting off introductions, we will sit back to allow members to lead discussion. Below are a few tips to help you prepare:


  • Be ready to introduce yourself with a 30-second elevator pitch. Share your name, current organization or school, and what sustainability issues you're interested in. We strongly recommend turning your camera on.
  • Take a few minutes to reflect on why you want to meet other sustainability professionals. See below for some questions to start your brainstorm:
  • Do you need to find a support system for a current challenge?
  • Are you looking for contacts in your region?
  • Are you looking to hire or search for a new job?
  • Do you simply want to offer your support to others in the field?
  • Try starting a discussion around this question. For example, be ready to ask others if they have ever encountered XYZ issue or be ready with a follow-up question when someone else's introduction interests you.
  • Finally, feel free to share your LinkedIn or ask another member to connect one-on-one after the call the ends. Most members are more than happy to set up a 15 min call!
