Policy: Requests for Endorsement or Proof of Membership

The International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) is committed to supporting the professional growth and recognition of its members. However, ISSP does not provide letters of recommendation, act as a reference, or provide any type of endorsement for individual members, including those seeking documentation for immigration or employment purposes.

ISSP offers Certificates of Membership to active members upon request. These certificates confirm the individual’s current status as a member of ISSP, and they are valid for a full year or until their membership expires – whichever comes first. The certificates are strictly limited to verifying membership and do not include endorsements of professional qualifications or expertise.

Disclaimer

  1. Non-Endorsement: ISSP membership does not imply professional certification, accreditation, or endorsement by ISSP of an individual’s qualifications, skills, or expertise.
  2. Limited Scope: Certificates of Membership are provided solely as documentation of a member's affiliation with ISSP and should not be interpreted as a verification of their competency, credibility, or achievements in the field of sustainability.
  3. Responsibility: ISSP does not assume any responsibility for the actions, decisions, or advice of its individual members.
