Nancy Ladeinde is a communication professional with over 8 years of experience and has served as a practitioner, researcher, and educator. Prior to embarking on her graduate school journey, she worked as a brand manager, communication consultant and digital media professional in both the profit and non-profit sectors in Nigeria, where she served a diverse clientele spanning fast-moving consumer goods, alcoholic beverages, technology, retail fashion, energy and social advocacy groups.
Since working in academia, Nancy has imparted knowledge as a public speaking instructor. Her extensive industry background and passion for applied research have consistently influenced her research interests and has won research awards to this effect. Currently, she is completing her thesis, which aims to understand the use of organizational storytelling for sustainability communication with the aim of informing the development of relevant and impactful communication techniques to drive global change. She is currently a graduate student in the Strategic Communication and Sustainability Program at Eastern Illinois University.
She has also coordinated several social impact projects with a focus on areas such as community development, gender equality, education and period poverty. She has presented papers on sustainability communication and social entrepreneurship and will also be presenting at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain in March 2024.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, respectively. Additionally, she is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and the Society for Health Communicators. Whether she is teaching undergraduate students, conducting organizational communication research, providing resources or crafting communication content, Nancy's core value remains centered on prioritizing collaboration and empathy over everything else.
