ISSP On Demand Education Program
Our education programs are designed for current and aspiring sustainability professionals. The ISSP On Demand Program provides you with the skills, tools and methods at your own pace. You will be prepared to take on positions such as Sustainability Director, Sustainability Coordinator, Sustainability Consultant, and Climate Officer. You will benefit from learning from sustainability experts on your own schedule.
Learning Environment
As part of our commitment to keeping a small footprint and providing you with the best instructors, all courses are delivered online via distance learning. We record all the webinars and use a combination of live webinars, online discussions and individual study to meet the learning outcomes in a dynamic learning environment. This allows us to offer an on-demand program using the same course content and discussion from the live sessions.
Enrollment
Courses are available at any time and participants take as long as necessary to complete courses. All courses are $250 USD. Enrollment keys can be purchased through the ISSP Learning Center (links to individual courses below).
On Demand Courses and Credit
Unfortunately, we cannot offer credit towards a certificate for the on-demand courses at this time. The interaction with instructors and the instructor's review of your completed work is an essential piece to ensuring you have met the learning requirements. The On-demand programs currently do not meet this requirement. If you are interested in completing the Sustainability Professional or Climate Professional Certificates, we recommend that you take the live courses to keep this option open.
A basic understanding of sustainability concepts is recommended - this can be attained through attending the Sustainability 101 course offered in January 2010. This course is now available on-demand - see links below.
Registration and Getting Started
To get started, you will need to register for an account on our ISSP Training website (if you do not already have one). Once you have an account and you login, you will be able select the On Demand courses you wish to register for. You will also find podcasts and recorded webinars for purchase as well. You will be able to pay for the course through the training website.
On Demand Courses
We use Moodle to manage our courses - these links will take you to the Moodle page.
